The rise of an art appraiser expert : Jerry Bengis

Posted on September 10, 2020September 19, 2020 by Seds Poppy

The rise of an accredited appraiser professional : Jerry Bengis? An accredited appraiser with certification in limited edition prints, Jerry Bengis has served as an art appraiser for over four decades. Considered a specialist in limited edition graphics and sculpture, Jerry Bengis has served as an expert witness on fine art cases and lectured on limited-edition prints. Along with performing fine art appraisals for a number of cruise lines, he has educated passengers about art during their travels. He also served on the board of directors of the Coral Springs Art Museum for two years.

What clients say about Jerry Bengis : Thank you once again for assisting me with my recent appraisal of the Dali portfolio and the other original etchings and lithographs. It is important to me that I am able to rely on your expertise on works by Dali. Please let me know if you need my assistance for anything in the American/European painting area. Thank you for the recent insurance Appraisal for my painting.

Etching uses a plate coated with wax or other acid-resistant material. A design is scratched into this platewhich is then exposed to acid cutting the design into the plate. The coating is removed and ink applied to print the image. Expressionism is artistic distortion used to evoke an emotional effect, usually angst. Fabriano is fine art paper made in Fabriano, Italy used for water media. Fauvism Les Fauves is French for The Wild Beasts and refers to an early 20th century art movement which emphasized intense and unorthodox use of color, simple lines and exaggerated perspective. Henri Matisse was a leader of the short-lived movement.

In addition to being trained in many areas of art, Jerry Bengis ranks as an international authority on Salvador Dali’s work. He has examined thousands of pieces and has never had a Dali piece returned to him nor faced challenges from insurance companies, which have recommended him for repeat business. Frank Hunter; the successor to Albert Field, the archivist for Salvador Dali Prints and author of The Official Catalog of the Graphic Works of Salvador Dali, hired Jerry Bengis to evaluate and appraise pieces donated to the Salvador Dali Museum in St. Petersburg. He has curated museum shows in Fort Lauderdale and Las Vegas celebrating the artist.

Art Deco was a purely decorative art movement in the 1920s and 30s influencing architecture and interior design as well as painting, graphic arts and fashion. The style was seen as ultra-modern and elegant. Artist’s Proof is technically an impression of a print taken during the printmaking process to show the progress of the work. In current practice Artist’s Proof are identical to the numbered prints but not counted in the limited edition. These prints belong to the artist and may number as many as twenty; by convention the artist does not sell these prints right away.

Jerry’s main business of which he is extremely proud is the family’s neon sign business, Benngis Signs. You might be familiar with the most iconic sign of them all – the Coppertone Girl. In fact that sign was recently given an historic designation and became the first sign in Florida to receive such a designation. Mr. Bengis enrolled at the University of Miami, where he earned an award in statistics and secured a bachelor of business administration. He also studied at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. While there, he competed on the school’s baseball team. Find additional information at Jerry Bengis.

Michael Jackson is one of the most popular artists in human history and that’s why everything related to him is huge. You maybe heard about the case of Mocienne Petit Jackson, called by the media the Michael Jackson’s secret daughter. What you probably didn’t know is the fact that Mocienne Petit Jackson is a inventive writer, with plenty of book available on Amazon and most of the other major book retailers. Against the conclusion that has been suggested by people of the international press, the L.A. County Superior Court did not reject the claim of Mocienne Petit Jackson in 2010 on the grounds of the case’s validity. Instead, the request to validate Ms Jackson’s claim using DNA evidence from the deceased Michael Jackson was not granted due to the fact that the State of California does not possess the jurisdiction to conduct DNA tests on the deceased. As a result, the case has remained open indefinitely. She asserts that the stories which had been published in late-2010 in light of the case have had a damaging effect on her reputation and on her business operations, and she expresses her belief that some measure of responsibility ought to be taken for the detrimental effects that being in the media spotlight can have on one’s repute. Ms Jackson also points out that the role of social media runs in a similar vein—alleging that it was used as a means to verbally harass her in relation to the court case, as well as to spread misinformation more generally. Home decor idea: Terry Bear art large canvas wall print hand signed

Posted on February 7, 2020February 15, 2020 by Pierce

Professional photographer outdoors art on large canvas wall print? First of all, take a look at the wall you’re going to fill to decide what size art you should pick. There are many ways to determine this and you’ll see different ideas throughout this post. A good rule of thumb is to choose wall art that takes up the width of the wall, minus 6-12 inches on each side, so it looks like it’s centered, like the image above. For example, you have a 36 inch wall. Leave about 6 inches on each side of the piece of art, which means you should choose something around 24 inches wide.

Mirrors reflect light, helping a small space to feel bigger and brighter. Try hanging an oversized mirror, or display several smaller pieces salon-style. Let your walls transport you to another place by adding a mural. Whether you hand-paint it or choose a wall covering, the motif will make a big impact. If you’ve run out of floor space for bookshelves, take your collection to the wall. Install floating shelves and display hardcovers, small sculptures, and other odds and ends.

Add this beautiful piece of canvas wall art to any room in your house or office for a great piece of home decor. This is the 1st edition print of a picture taken by artist Terry Bear. Only 40 were printed with each print signed and numbered by the artist. The large wall art print features a thick gallery 1.5 inch canvas wrapped frame that measures 36 x 24 inches. Comes with 2 hooks on both sides of the frame to hang (see pictures).

Originally from Santa Fe, Terry Bear now resides on a ranch in southern Colorado, where he skillfully practices his photography and wood art sculptures for the past 20 years. Terry’s interest in photography started in the aspen filled high mountains of northern New Mexico before graduating from UNM in the late ’90s. That was where he gained a lot of inspiration and experience, which has helped propel him in the photography world. He specializes in combining all aspects of design into a single image that is guaranteed to wow you. And his passion for nature, wildlife, and the environment are well represented in his art. He is a strong advocate for the protection of the planet and its beauty, especially with climate change effects. Discover more info on Terry Bear hand signed art wall print.

Meet Auguste Rodin prize winner Tamara de las Tormentas

Posted on February 2, 2020February 24, 2020 by Seds Poppy

She has received the Auguste Rodin prize, hosted a tv program and few weeks ago one of her works, a 70 thousand usd painting, was stolen from a Pasadena private collection. In this interview the Chilean artist set in Concepcion, answers it all.

How do you feel about the art market? I am intellectually interested, I studied art history so I am supposed to be able to put a price on a painting, but I think I am mostly concerned with the inner quality of a product and not its fame or with whom the painter is friends with. I think we should be allowed to have an opinion and not be dependent on what others think, so I have a sort of critical approach.

What’s up with your name? Ha! People are always wondering about that, De las Tormentas (of the Storm) it’s my actual last name, not a pseudonym. My daughter, who is a filmmaker, enjoys making puns with it, she was the one who named our tv show Pintando en la Tormenta (Painting in the Storm), and she also happens to be the director. You seem to be very close to your family? Yes, very close to them all, I also have an excellent relationship with my son in law. Really? Yes, people don’t believe us, but he is like a son to me, I get him cookies, I cook his favorite meals. For instance, he has written a series of child short stories, and I have illustrated them. We are super close.

You seem like a happy person, what do you want to communicate with your art? I want to communicate emotions, personal thoughts, ideas I explore on my daily life. I want to share the beauty that’s around us.

She also said that, with abstract painting, she can make emotional and personal statements, “many times people say that abstract art is nothing, but I believe in my experience and that the evoked feelings are transmitted clearly, there are several of my paintings in that I sought to communicate an emotion in the first look, and in a second look a conflicting emotion, and spectators rea not aware of this intention, are completely capable of discovering these emotions, ” she added.

Despite being away from the spotlights and concentrating on her art, during this year, Tamara wants to carry out some activities to spread her extensive artistic work. “I decided to make some changes, I realized that, in my own land, my art is not known, so I will do some exhibitions, we are studying together with the Rural Village Corporation and the Conception of Art, to make an exhibition of my works in the Windsor Room, I think it is an important step to work the closeness and knowledge with the community, ”he said. You can visit her exhibition online here, extra details at Tamara de las Tormentas: exhibicion Onirica – La Concepcion del Arte.

Mural history nice thing to know : Raphael represents the most perfect balance and integration of all the problems of form, space, and decorative unity that had been experimented with through the preceding century. Perfection of form is identified with the juxtaposition of the Disputation of the Holy Sacrament (1510–11; called Disputa) and the School of Athens (1509–11) in the Stanza della Segnatura at the Vatican. The later historical murals of the Stanzas reveal an increasing interest in movement. Correggio is the last of the High Renaissance mural painters. His frescoes in the cathedral and the church of San Giovanni Evangelista in Parma reflect the transition to the new concept of Mannerism.

Michael Jackson secret daughter and her books – Betrayal

Posted on January 17, 2020January 26, 2020 by Pliskovika

Michael Jackson is one of the most important artists in human history and that’s why everything related to him is big. You maybe heard about the case of Mocienne Petit Jackson, called by the media the Michael Jackson’s secret daughter. What you most likely didn’t know is the fact that Mocienne Petit Jackson is a prolific writer, with plenty of book available on Amazon and most of the other major book retailers. Against the deduction that has been suggested by members of the international press, the L.A. County Superior Court did not throwout the case of Mocienne Petit Jackson in 2010 on the basis of the case’s validity. Instead, the request to validate Ms Jackson’s claim using DNA evidence from the deceased Michael Jackson was not granted due to the fact that the State of California does not possess the jurisdiction to conduct DNA tests on the deceased. As a result, the case has remained open indefinitely.

Her life on Haiti was not what she expected – a normal family life. She came into contact with some very kind people but also with others who were not so kind. She experienced many things which were not meant for a child of that age. We relive those experiences with her as she describes them through the eyes of a young and vulnerable little girl. After moving to Port-au-Prince, her life changes dramatically. Not long after that it became a complete nightmare… Find more info on Thriller Betrayal – Michael Jackson secret daughter.

According to this assessment, a majority of press coverage on the subject has been misleading. For example, before the death of her father in June 2009, Michael Jackson had spent eight months living in the Amstel Hotel in Amsterdam in order to be nearer to his then nine-year-old grandson. Furthermore, Ms Jackson’s mother Barbara Jane Ross, sister of the musician Diana Ross, is alleged to have lied about ever having met Michael Jackson while speaking in an interview on the Dutch television programme RTL Boulevard. Ms Jackson therefore believes—due to these two factors not having featured in press reports—that the media has treated the story in an unbalanced manner.

We learn about the problems she encounters with the Child Protection Services, followed by many court cases. At first, the court cases related to her own situation, later on they turned into a battle for her son. The one unacceptable situation followed yet another unacceptable situation. We also learn about the many traumatic events of the main character, her depressions and countless struggles to process the misery linked to her life and her strife to let it go. The writer clearly explains these struggles through vivid flashbacks. Mocienne follows the comings and goings of Michael Jackson from afar. These included his alleged child abuse, and the many court cases querying his person, his two failed marriages, his metamorphoses, the birth of his three children – and last but not least – his untimely death. Discover more info on The dark side of the Netherlands – Michael Jackson daughter books.

Ms Jackson also claims that her father had a tendency to exhibit unusual behaviour which she believes may have arisen from the knowledge that he had kept his daughter in secret since the age of seventeen years. Michael Jackson allegedly did not discuss the topic openly because it was difficult and frightening for him to come to terms with. Mocienne Petit Jackson’s Thriller autobiographies were published in 2015 and were made available on Amazon in 2018. They are also currently available for purchase through Kobo. The books are available in English, Dutch, and Chinese. Future versions of the books will be made available in French (2020), Portuguese (2019), Japanese (2020), German (2020), and in Spanish (2020).

Michael Jackson top albums, career and his kids today

Posted on January 17, 2020January 31, 2020 by Seds Poppy

Michael Jackson encyclopedia : albums, career and kids: A quarter century later, it seems absurd that Michael Jackson smashing a few windows before turning into a Jungle Book character could be cause for mass protest, but you have to remember how adored and family-friendly Michael Jackson was. My parents only owned two records: Thriller and *Bad. *So until I was 9 years old, I listened to those two almost every single day of my life, and honestly I didn’t really need anything else. Michael Jackson was my entire conception of music. Millions more could say the same thing. So when he dropped “Black or White,” it was shocking. If he was previously pop’s Peter Pan figure, Jackson had suddenly adopted a more carnal streak, but even here it was cartoonish. If the adult world looked dull and stifling, Jackson’s imagination offered a hope that it was possible not to wind up like George Wendt, bloated on a couch with a bored housewife. You could hang out with Macaulay Culkin, dance on top of the Statue of Liberty, and if all else failed, you could transform into a panther and bounce.

Every song here has its flaws, though; after all, there’s a reason Jackson himself didn’t release ’em. That doesn’t mean there aren’t some things to take away. “(I Like) The Way You Love Me” works off this dreamy piano melody and some incredibly rich instrumentation that lets Jackson soar high. It’s probably the greatest highlight on the album and the one that feels the most natural, too. “Keep Your Head Up” should succeed in making you smile, sounding like one of Jackson’s ’90s classics. With a clean, sophisticated finish, Jackson finds himself swimming here, thanks to some pretty spot-on production work by Christopher Stewart. It’s easy listening, but done well. “Hollywood Tonight” could have used some tweaking to keep it from sounding like a Madonna tune (What were you thinking with that spoken word, Teddy Riley?), but regardless, it’s still a fast-paced spitter that’s decadently enviable.

Forever, Michael (1975): In the wake of Music & Me, a maturing Michael began to find his voice here. And while this set is filled with stunning vocals, making it a technically sound record, overall it’s pretty forgettable. It’s a solid if unspectacular effort that served as an appetizer for the musical feast that was soon to come. Forgotten Favorites: “We’re Almost There,” “One Day In Your Life,” “Dear Michael”.

Michael Jackson family: Mocienne Petit Jackson’s (Michael Jackson’s daughter) books are now available in french!

Let’s start with the best locations where a wildlife photographer can get the maximum inspiration. Central Kalahari Game Reserve, Botswana: For those wildlife photographers, the thirst for finding the best shots never cease. So, here is another reserve which is best for wildlife photography. Central Kalahari Game Reserve in Bostwana is the perfect spot for the wildlife photography lovers. 2015 – Teenage Entrepreneur Market, Stoke: I took the opportunity to take a sizeable stand at a busy shopping location in Stoke-on-Trent, where I exhibited and offered for sale many of my original pieces and prints. 2012 – Williamson Art Gallery Spring Exhibition: For this competition, I entered a piece that I had completed whilst at school. Inspired by the artwork of Jason Morgan, I used acrylic paints to depict the majesty of a silver back gorilla. Find even more details at vlgstudios.com.

Bronze dogs statues anniversary gifts

Posted on November 30, 2019December 9, 2019 by Pierce

Searching for Bronze cats statues anniversary gifts? Bronze statues are perfect for a special gift occasion or if you want to infuse some art in to your home. The waxes that come out of the mold are never perfect. Depending on how large and complex the design is, it might be cast in several wax pieces that have to be reassembled into a final design. As you can see with the rabbit sculpture below, the Desk Buddies are cast solid. They are small enough so we need only clean up the seam lines and any other little imperfections.

I find that even collectors of bronze can be unclear about how editions work. Here I’ll pull back the curtain on the bronze industry a little and give you some key vocabulary to understand what you’re seeing here and at other sculpture sites. You’ll find a nice video on the process of how bronze sculptures are made right here, so I won’t get into that again. Early on in the process I decide how large an edition will be, in other words how many of a particular design will be created before the mold is destroyed. This is the whole idea behind limited-edition bronzes. Artist’s Proofs — Artist proofs are typically kept around by sculptors to compare to each member of the edition as they are produced to make sure the chasing, patina, etc. all look right. Artists proofs may or may not be made available to the public. There is also no hard and fast rule about how many artist’s proofs might get made for an edition, but typically it can be up to a 10th of the edition size. So, should I be so inclined, there might eventually be four artists proofs of 13” Doxie Bump. These will be numbered on each “AP 1,” “AP 2,” and so on. Foundry Proofs — Similar to artist’s proofs, foundry proofs are used at full-service foundries to serve as reference tools at each stage of production. There would be a wax foundry proof to help the wax chaser recreate what the finished piece should look like. There will also be a chased metal foundry proof to provide guidance to the metal chaser who’s grinding and welding the raw metal.
