SCR technology is an effective response to the regulatory requirements limiting emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) from diesel vehicles. Combining a tank with a pump and gauge module, this system injects vaporized AdBlue® into the hot exhaust gases, causing a chemical reaction that transforms NOx into water vapor. The major automotive hub Wuhan is home to the Group’s first Chinese production facility, opened in 2008. Ten years later, Plastic Omnium has three plants in the area, employing 650 people. Wuhan has since become a pilot city for the Chinese government’s hydrogen program and the site of Plastic Omnium’s newest R&D center (2019). On behalf of its customers in Asia, ω-Omegatech is developing energy storage and emission reduction systems for all engine types, and zero-emissions hydrogen systems.
OMEGA: launched in the first half of 2020, this is a large-scale transformation project led by Chief Operating Officer, Félicie Burelle. The aim is to improve working processes to make even greater gains in agility and competitiveness. Contributions to the ultimate objective will come from several areas: digitalization, data management, collaborative and industrial processes.
